Role: Store Manager

Rate of Pay: Up to £26,500

Contract available: Permanent, 40 hours per week split across 5 days

The Coffee House is proud to announce an exciting new position as a Store Manager in our coffee shop, based in Macclesfield. The store provides a fun, yet busy and relaxed environment for everyone.

The Coffee House is a chain of independent coffee shops based across the North West of England and North Staffordshire, We opened our first store in Lymm village in 2011 with the vision to change the way people eat, drink and relax and have been continuing to grow the business ever since! We are a forward thinking company, priding ourselves on new and innovative ways of working. We bring passion, individuality and quality to all of our stores. We have a vision for growth, but want to maintain our independent values and continue to aim to be everyone’s ‘go to’ coffee brand.

Cookhouse: All of our products are handcrafted in our newly built production kitchen every day to ensure our guests get the best possible products, using ingredients that are specially selected from local and independent suppliers.

About you

As Store Manager you will be the face of the brand and you will ensure that the daily trade and store operations are performed to an excellent standard, that the guest experience is exceptional and your team are trained to a very high specifications. Ideally you will have supervisory experience from a hospitality background and have a forward thinking approach to problem solving and identifying areas for improvement in your store.

What will you bring?

You will provide an exceptional and genuine guest experience for everyone and ensure you follow our vision of changing the way everyone eats, drinks and relaxes, whether that be ensuring we greet all our guests with big hello’s the moment they walk in or recommending your favourite product for someone to try.

You will ensure everyone adheres to the company standards ensuring all products sold meet the company specs and brand standards.

You will need to have a strong understanding about developing your team. Monitor staff performance, document and challenge poor performance and appraise staff using our company tools.

Ensure high levels of safety and care throughout the whole team in mind when using company equipment.

To undertake any other duties that may be required from you while you work for The Coffee House.

Roles & Responsibilities

The role of a store manager is to ensure that the team and store are aligned with our vision and values, this means to ensure that everyone is focused on the guests and ensuring we are providing the best service we can.

To train the team and monitor their performance.

Monitor staff performance, document and challenge poor performance and appraise staff using our company tools.

Liaising with our recruitment team to select new talent.

Conduct weekly reports to the head of stores, on time and accurately.

Adhere to the company standards ensuring all products sold meet the company specs and brand standards.

To take responsibility for the store as a whole.

To attend meetings set out by the Directors/Operations Manager.

To ensure the store is meeting all of the food hygiene standards set out by HACCP.

To publish the rotas meeting the targets of the company.

Participate in local marketing initiatives the company may be running.

The Ideal Candidate:

Supervisory/ Management experience from the hospitality/retail background.

Positive and enthusiastic attitude to our Guests

Passionate about developing your team.

Barista experience is a plus but don’t worry you will receive training on this.

Full driving licence with access to own car
