The Coffee House

We are looking for someone to join an exciting business who began its story in 2011 in the small Cheshire village of Lymm. Two brothers who oozed passion and with a strong vision to change the way people Eat, Drink and Relax, opened their first coffee house that made great coffee and served a small, classic menu which was made with local produce. Today, The Coffee House is established in 8 communities (and counting), serving thousands of people every week with a substantial range of products which has over quadrupled over the years. The Coffee House has a family of employees who have been chosen as they demonstrate the behaviours and qualities we need to succeed in developing the business and continuously ensure excellent customer service is delivered to our customer.

Roles and Responsibilities

The position will be split between driving between our network of stores delivering produce to our stores into the evening, a maximum of four evenings a week (Monday - Sunday) and additional time will be spent working in our warehouse supporting the Warehouse Manager with day to day warehouse duties, that will include preparing internal orders for deliveries that are taking place that evening.

The objective of the warehouse is to serve and support our wider operations, ensuring that we deliver a high quality service at all times.

Delivery Driver:

Responsible for checking the vehicle before driving, ensuring you comply with Health and Safety at all times

Loading the van safely at the warehouse and in line with compliance

Using iAuditor, ensuring all company processes are being followed and check lists are completed

Collecting fresh produce from the central kitchens and distributing to the network

Travelling between locations in an efficient manner, ensuring attention to detail at each location, delivering with accuracy.

Ensuring the stores have been closed correctly, that cookers and coffee machines are switched off, and alarms set.

Return the van to the warehouse at the end of the shift, unpack any returned items from stores, complete all checklists, clean and tidy the van and ensure its left in the manner it was found.

Warehouse Operative:

Support the warehouse manager with unpacking deliveries

Picking for all 7 stores in preparation for the evening delivery

Understanding the process of preparing orders, managing the stock system and being involved in regular stock takes.

Help identify issues with stock shortages

Accuracy is key at all times.

Clean and tidy the warehouse ensuring it remains a safe environment.

Be aware and compliant of all company Health and Safety policies and procedures.

Requirements for the role:

Class 2 (Category C) Driving Licence

Flexibility - Weekends and evening work (until midnight) are involved but as part of a designed schedule that maximises work life balance for all of the team

Reliability is a key attribute for this role.

Good Attention to detail, and confident with following processes.

A team player

Please note this role is a physically demanding role, and involves manual handling, you will also need to be comfortable collecting cash.

The below outlines the rotating shifts schedules, ensuring the successful candidate gets a full weekend off every alternate week.

Schedule A - 4 night shifts and 1 day shift Friday and Saturday off

Schedule B - 3 night shifts and 2 day shifts Tuesday and Sunday off
