The Coffee House

We are looking for someone to join an exciting business who began its story in 2011 in the small Cheshire village of Lymm. Two brothers who oozed passion and with a strong vision to change the way people Eat, Drink and Relax, opened their first coffee house that made great coffee and served a small, classic menu which was made with local produce. Today, The Coffee House is established in 8 communities (and counting), serving thousands of people every week with a substantial range of products which has over quadrupled over the years. The Coffee House has a family of employees who have been chosen as they demonstrate the behaviours and qualities we need to succeed in developing the business and continuously ensure excellent customer service is delivered to our customer.

We have ambitious plans in place with the vision of growing this concept, and to become recognised as the ‘leading independent coffee operator in the North of England’.

Our unique selling point is our homemade produce, cakes and bakes. With this we are excited to announce that we have an exciting position for a Chef to work between our Store in Lymm and our Central kitchen in Partington. This is a split role managing the kitchen in our Lymm store, producing high quality food in a fast paced environment directly to waiting customers. You will also be expected to work in our central production kitchen making various products which are distributed to our network of stores for our customers to pick and purchase.

When working in the Lymm store your responsibilities would be:

  • Work on your own or as part of a 2 person kitchen team
  • Cook with fresh, local and quality ingredients
  • Power through busy lunch service working all parts of the kitchen and the pass
  • Comply with legal requirements under H&S and good HACCP knowledge
  • Control stock and ordering with negligible wastage
  • Have good working relationship with all areas of the business

In our central production kitchen:

  • You will work alongside the Central Production Manager
  • To produce good quality products which are delivered to all our stores overnight.
  • This role is split into producing fresh produce, organising and making products in mass production, preparing and packing products ready for stores on a daily basis
  • Produce current fresh product range to a excellent standard
  • Ensure safe food preparation and service, the correct storage & labelling of food and produce products to the recipe specifications provided.
  • To be a good communicator within the business.
  • Clean thoroughly always and ensure routine cleaning is completed
  • To follow all health and safety requirements set out by the company
  • To use all equipment and machinery safely and maintain it in good condition.
  • To use all the systems and processes set out by the company.
  • To record all relevant checks and information on our iauditor system
  • To open and close the kitchen by following all guidelines set out.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 1 years experience.
  • Experience of working in a kitchen, on your own, or with a small team.
  • Demonstrate fast turn round of checks without compromising quality
  • Organised and comfortable working in a high pressure environment
  • Have an organisational flair
  • Share our desire to delight everyone of our customers
  • Have a positive, cheery outlook and ‘can do’ attitude.
