Job description

This is a fantastic opportunity for growth, with the support and leadership of a HR professional. This role will allow for full scope of the employee lifecycle with a key focus on recruitment and onboarding. This is a customer facing role with plenty of variety. The right person won’t take things on face value and will thrive to improve the HR function, and attention to detail is key. This would be a perfect role for someone who has started working towards their CIPD or other HR qualification.

Job purpose

You will sit within the People & Culture Department within Central Functions in Warrington, but will also support the Operations team. Owning the Pre-life and Early Life as well as the After Life Post Departure components of the employee life cycle. Supporting the Head of People & Culture with various projects to be implemented in this vastly growing SME.

This is a multi site role, and you will need to travel to any site when required. 

Responsibilities

Pre Life:

Working closely with the Design team and Store Support Manager to continuously promote the culture of The Coffee House on our website and social media pages.

Own and lead all internal and external recruitment across the business.

Continuously review and update Job Profiles and adverts to ensure they are kept relevant as the company evolves

Support Store Managers in reviewing succession plans prior to recruiting externally

Research different channels of advertising which are cost effective and offer good quality talent.

Promote and encourage recruitment traffic through our careers portal, ensuring it is kept fully up to date

Streamline the selection process ensuring it’s the best fit for our business, and securing quality candidates swiftly. Completing the initial stages for the Recruiting Managers.

Responsible for sending out all new starter information, contracts, welcome email, invites to the rotering system, ensuring welcome bags and uniforms are dispatched.

Inputting new starters onto payroll and allocating training modules where appropriate.

Early Life:

Ensuring our Welcome documentation is kept current and relevant.

Working closely with the Store Support Manager to train Store Managers on how to conduct the perfect induction. Managing the output of the Induction Programmes, logging completion of probation periods and supporting Managers when probations are extended.

Working with the Operations Manager to ensure the Induction Programme is kept up to date.

Own the recruitment programme for new store openings. Advertising and Interviewing with the Store Opening Manager for key roles and subsequently working with the new Store Manager to recruit good quality Team Members. 

After Life

Confirm leavers in writing

Conduct exit interviews, identifying any trends and feeding back into Management 

Proactively follow up any areas of concern brought to our attention.

Advisory:

Supporting the Head of People & Culture in the execution of the Store Leader Development Programme.

Help embed new policies, procedures and processes within the field.

Supporting Managers with understanding our people policies

Supporting Managers with employee relation queries, ensuring we comply with current employment law, but with a commercial mind.

Own and support various projects that arise in the People team when required.

People Hub Administration:

Be a People Hub expert responsible for any employee and Manager administrative queries.

Responsible for processing starters, leavers, promotions, changes to contract 

Inputting the relevant pre payroll data

Responsible for running monthly reports for Senior Leadership and Operations.

Data Controller - regularly data cleanse ensuring contracts are signed and Right to work is compliant.

Manage the HR Inbox forwarding any queries that cannot be resolved to the relevant party.
